Terms of use

The Treegens app is operated by Treegens Regeneration Inc. ("Treegens", "we"). By using it you accept what follows. If you do not, please stop using it. How we handle your data is set out separately in our Privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
What this app is
A tool for filming trees you plant so that Treegens DAO verifiers can check the work, and for receiving $TGN rewards when they approve it. It is not an exchange, a bank, a broker, or a financial service, and it does not hold funds for you.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. You must not use the app if you are subject to sanctions, or are located in a country under a comprehensive embargo, that would make it unlawful for us to reward you.
Submissions must be real
Film your own planting, at the place and time it happened. Do not submit footage you did not record, re-submit the same trees, stage plantings that are dug up afterwards, or falsify a location. Verifiers reject submissions they cannot trust, and accounts that do this repeatedly lose access and any pending rewards.
Verification and rewards
Every submission is reviewed by DAO verifiers, and rewards are paid only for approved plantings, at the rate set by the DAO at that time. Rates and reward schedules can change. Approval is a judgement made by people and tooling that can be wrong; nothing here guarantees that a particular submission will be approved or that a particular amount will be paid. Any tax on what you receive is yours to work out and pay.
Nothing here is financial advice
$TGN and $MGRO are described so you understand how the rewards work. That is not an offer to sell, a solicitation, a recommendation, or investment, legal or tax advice. Digital assets are volatile and can lose all of their value.
Your wallet is yours
We never ask for a seed phrase or a private key, and we cannot recover one for you. Keep your sign-in method safe: whoever can sign in can move the rewards. Transactions on a blockchain are irreversible, by anyone.
Your content
You keep ownership of the videos and photos you upload, and you confirm you have the right to share them - including the agreement of anyone recognisable in the footage. By submitting them you grant Treegens a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store them, show them to verifiers, and publish them as proof of the planting, including on our public sites and social channels.
Suspending an account
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we reasonably believe is defrauding the reward system, or where the law requires it. You can stop using the app at any time and ask us to delete your account.
Availability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. It depends on your device, your connection and services we do not control, and it may be unavailable, change, or lose queued uploads.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Treegens is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including lost rewards, lost footage, or losses on digital assets. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. You agree to cover us for claims brought by someone else that arise from your submissions or from your breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows when. Significant changes will be flagged in the app, and continuing to use it after that means you accept them.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and the state and federal courts located in Delaware have jurisdiction - except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to use your local courts instead. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
